Exciting Opportunity: Logistics Co-Ordinator Role in Camden
We are seeking an organised, proactive Logistics Co-Ordinator to join our dedicated team at our Camden branch. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to play a vital role in supporting our supply chain, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of materials to our valued customers, and upholding Lawsons’ renowned standards for service excellence.

Working Hours
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, with alternate Saturday mornings (08:00 – 12:00). The role offers 44.5 hours per week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities – Logistics and Supply Chain
- Coordinate the daily scheduling, routing, and dispatching of deliveries to meet customer demands and branch targets
- Support the efficient movement of goods by working closely with colleagues, drivers, and external carriers
- Assist with order processing, stock control, and record-keeping duties to maintain accurate logistics records
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery times, addressing any queries or issues swiftly and professionally
- Monitor branch delivery performance and provide actionable feedback for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety policies, transport regulations, and company procedures
- Liaise with suppliers and purchasing teams to coordinate inbound deliveries and stock replenishment
- Collaborate with warehouse and yard teams for the seamless flow of materials through the branch
- Assist with general administrative tasks and other branch operations as required
Person Specification – Logistics Co-Ordinator Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport coordination is essential
- Previous experience within a Builders Merchants is essential
- Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and customer-focused approach
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under pressure in a busy branch environment
- Comfort with IT systems and general office software; experience with stock control or logistics software is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and diverse team
- Commitment to upholding high standards of safety, professionalism, and service
- Positive work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn and develop new skills
