Telesales Job Opportunity in Romford – Customer Service & Sales
We are looking for a proactive, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our sales team in Romford. As a Telesales team member, you will play a pivotal role in identifying sales opportunities, providing product advice, and delivering a first-class telephone-based service to both trade and retail customers. Working Hours for Telesales Role in Romford
The working hours for this position would be Monday - Friday 07.30 - 17.00 and every other Saturday 08.00 - 12.00 = 44.5 hours per week.

Telesales Role Salary & Benefits – Join Lawsons
Competitive salary range between £30,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience.

Main Responsibilities – Telesales & Customer Relationship Management
- Proactively contact new and existing customers to promote our product range, offers, and services
- Deliver outstanding customer service and sales advice over the telephone
- Prepare accurate quotations, process orders, and manage sales transactions using the company CRM system
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both trade and retail customers
- Identify and act on cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximise sales
- Resolve customer enquiries and issues promptly and professionally to ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow up on outstanding quotations and leads
- Work closely with the branch team to achieve sales targets and support branch operations
- Uphold all company procedures and health & safety guidelines
Skills and Experience – What We’re Looking For in a Telesales Team Member
- Previous telesales, internal sales, or telephone-based customer service experience within a builders merchants is essential.
- Confident and professional communication skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
- Strong relationship-building skills and a positive, resilient attitude
- Good knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, timber, building materials, and associated products
- Proven ability to meet or exceed targets and KPIs in a sales environment
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in order processing and customer information management
- Comfortable using computers and telephone systems, including CRM software
- Adaptable, team-oriented, and always committed to delivering an excellent customer experience
