Join Our Expanding Team – Telesales and Counter Sales in Sidcup

You will be an integral part of the branch, providing excellent service over the phone and in-person, ensuring customers always receive the best advice and support.
Main Responsibilities – Telesales & Counter Sales (Sidcup)
- Handle incoming telephone and in-person enquiries from trade and public customers
- Advise customers on product selection, availability, and pricing for timber, fencing, and building materials
- Process sales orders, quotations, and resolve queries efficiently and accurately
- Build and maintain effective relationships with new and existing customers
- Support sales growth by identifying and following up on opportunities and leads
- Work closely with warehouse and yard teams to ensure smooth fulfilment of orders and deliveries
- Maintain a high standard of product knowledge, keeping up to date with ranges and promotions
- Work to all health and safety protocols to protect yourself and others within the branch
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment and support colleagues as required
Essential Skills & Experience Required – Sales Jobs in Building Materials
- Previous experience in sales, telesales, trade counter, or builders’ merchant environment (essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and professional manner with strong customer service focus
- Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic with a commitment to quality service
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills and familiarity with order processing systems
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges
- Friendly, positive attitude and a genuine team player
Working Hours – Telesales / Counter Sales Careers in Sidcup
This is a full-time, permanent role. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00, with alternate Saturday mornings (08:00 – 12:00).
