HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver Role – New Malden

Our HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver job in New Malden offers a varied and fulfilling role, allowing you to play an important part in delivering timber, fencing, and building materials to valued local customers. Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, timely, and professional delivery of building products to a wide range of trade and retail customers in the local area
- Operate Hiab/crane equipment safely and in accordance with all relevant regulations during both loading and unloading operations
- Complete daily vehicle checks and routine basic maintenance, promptly reporting any defects
- Work collaboratively with the yard team to assist with the accurate and efficient loading of delivery vehicles when required
- Deliver excellent customer service, representing Lawsons professionally on the road and on-site
- Accurately maintain paperwork, including delivery notes and daily records in line with company procedures
- Follow all Health & Safety and compliance requirements to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and customers
- Contribute positively to a welcoming and high-performing logistics team
Essential Skills & Experience – HGV Class2 & Hiab Driving Careers New Malden
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with up-to-date CPC qualification
- Valid Hiab (Lorry Loader Crane) certificate or proven experience operating hydraulic loading cranes
- Experience delivering building materials or similar bulk goods, ideally in a builders’ merchant or logistics environment
- Firm commitment to road safety, vehicle standards, and regulatory compliance
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with a diverse customer base
- Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude towards teamwork and supporting colleagues
- Solid organisational skills for accurate paperwork and efficient route planning
- Willingness to learn and undertake varied branch duties as required
Working Hours – HGV Driver Job Vacancies New Malden
This is a full-time, permanent driving position. Your core working hours will be Monday to Friday 07:00 –17:00, plus 1 in 2 Saturdays 08.00 - 12.00.
