We are recruiting for a Part Time Cleaner based at our Bury Hill Landscape Supplies branch to join a busy local team that supports trade and retail customers and helps maintain a clean, safe and welcoming branch environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our sales office and site offices in the yard. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be trustworthy, and able to work independently to ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy, and presentable for staff and visitors.

This includes:

• Being punctual and maintaining excellent time-keeping throughout working hours

• Taking pride in your work and consistently maintaining high personal and professional standards

• Ensuring cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and on schedule

• Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to a team-oriented environment

• Communicating clearly and courteously with colleagues and visitors

Main Responsibilities

Office Cleaning

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop all office floors

• Dust and clean desks, work surfaces, windowsills, and office equipment

• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately

• Clean meeting rooms, staff areas, and communal spaces

• Wipe doors, handles, and high-touch surfaces

Kitchen & Welfare Areas

• Clean and sanitise kitchen/worktop areas

• Wash and replace mugs, utensils, and general kitchen items

• Maintain cleanliness of fridges, microwaves, and appliances

• Refill kitchen supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.)

Toilets & Washrooms

• Clean and disinfect toilets, basins, and washroom surfaces

• Refill consumables (toilet roll, soap, hand towels)

• Ensure washrooms are kept hygienic and fresh at all times

Yard Site Offices

• Clean floors, walkways, and desk areas

• Maintain cleanliness in welfare units

• Ensure dirt and dust are managed effectively in higher-traffic areas

General

• Follow all health & safety and company cleaning procedures

• Report any maintenance issues or replenishment needs

• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and securely

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout all assigned areas

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all health and safety policies and safe working procedures at all times

• Use cleaning chemicals responsibly and in line with COSHH guidance, where applicable

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

• Assist with ad-hoc tasks related to branch safety and cleanliness as requested by management

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential

• Ability to work independently with good time management

• Good attention to detail

• Physically fit and able to carry out cleaning duties

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Working Hours

• Total of 16 hours per week

• Working pattern can be flexible and agreed to suit both the business and the successful candidate

• Hours may be split across multiple days
