Videographer
Join Bury Hill Landscape Supplies as Videographer: shoot on-site, events and product stories with a supportive team. Develop your craft, with gear provided and real progression.
Lawsons is the UK’s largest independent supplier of timber, fencing and building materials. With over 35 branches and 700+ colleagues across London and the South East, we deliver quality products, expert advice and excellent customer service. We are recruiting for a Videographer based at our Bury Hill Landscape Supplies branch to join a busy local marketing and branch team. The role will support promotional, training and product content creation to showcase our landscape supplies and services to trade and retail customers.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a videographer with a solid understanding of the fundamentals who wants to turn this into a long-term career and continue improving their craft. This is not a repetitive role. One week you might be filming interviews or an awards event, the next you could be on-site capturing landscape builds, documenting a day in the life with our drivers, or shooting at events like the Chelsea Flower Show.
All content is created for social media, but we focus on producing work that stands out and feels considered, not just quick turnarounds. You’ll be working closely with our lead videographer as part of a small, collaborative team where ideas are shared, tested, and improved. We care about people who want to get better, not just people who already are.
This includes:
• Planning, filming and editing video content to brief
• Operating cameras, lighting and audio equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborating with branch colleagues and the marketing team to develop concepts
• Managing media files, organising footage and maintaining a content library
• Ensuring all content is on-brand and compliant with company guidelines
Main Responsibilities
• Shooting video content across events, interviews, and on-site shoots
• Working both independently and as part of a two-person team
• Assisting on shoots and shooting solo when required
• Editing content, from rough cuts to more polished edits when needed
• Collaborating on ideas, framing, and approach to each shoot
• Supporting planning and prep when required
What We’re Looking For
• A confident shooter with a solid understanding of camera fundamentals (ISO, aperture, shutter speed, frame rates)
• Comfortable operating solo when needed, but also working as part of a team
• Experience with Sony cameras, gimbals, and lighting setups
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects
• A good eye for framing and an interest in improving lighting and visuals
• Open to feedback and genuinely motivated to improve, not just complete tasks
• A team player who can collaborate but also take initiative
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
Working Hours
• 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday - Friday (1-hour lunch)
• Hybrid working: mix of home, office, and on-location shoots
• Occasional travel across the UK, including events in London (all travel expenses covered)
• Overtime paid for extended shoot days
Employee Benefits
• £35,000 salary
• 22 days holiday + bank holidays
• All equipment provided (Sony ecosystem, lighting, support gear)
• Opportunity to work on a wide variety of real-world content
• A supportive, positive team environment
• Direct collaboration with lead videographer to develop your skills
